Glenfarclas Distillery

The distillery is an independent, family owned distillery established in 1836. Glenfarclas means valley of the green grass. It sources its water from nearby Ben Rinnes. Glenfarclas was the first to launch a widely available cask strength whisky in the late 1960’s.

Glenfarclas Distillery Tours

The Glenfarclas Classic Tour (£7.50) focuses on whisky production, maturation and the history of this family owned distillery.  The tour ends with a 2 dram tasting in the Ship’s Room. Duration 1.5 hours. Other options include a more in depth tour – The Connoisseurs Tour & Tasting (£40) which ends with a tasting of 4 family favourites including one from the Family Cask Collection. Duration: Usually between 2 and 2.5 hours. Glenfarclas is closed for the rest of 2020.
