Pulteney Distillery
The town of Wick is home to Pulteney Distillery which was founded in 1826. The distillery and area has a strong maritime history and it is one of the most northerly on the Scottish mainland. Wick itself was a thriving herring port. Barley used to be shipped in by sea and barrels of fish and whisky used to be shipped out. The fishing industry is no longer the force it was but the distillery remains. The distillery produces Old Pulteney single malt.
The core Old Pulteney Range single malt range consists of the 12, 15, 18 and 25 year old expressions and a smoky version called Huddart. Old Pulteney Distillery is located on Huddart Street.
